As an OCD mom, I have difficulty letting go of little details. It's not the pretty picture some people paint of it as always being perfect about placement of forks and spoons and alignment of placemats. Though I'm very capable of getting all that right. Often, it's the OCD thoughts that plague me most, such as the tiny disagreements that I had with family and friends in the past. Some thoughts still bother me though it's been years since the event. And, I wonder if such things is why there is distance between us. I've considered talking to a counselor about this but I'm sure they would just say to let it go. And, to me, I can't just let it go. As it's not that simple.

I'm OCD about some minor details on occasoin but it's usually not that bad.

I've been known to worry constantly over a specific situation to the point where I feel sick to my stomach. And, I had read that is a form of OCD with compulsive worrisome thoughts. Though usually the thoughts subside as soon as the situation is passed.

You must consult to doctor, you can take medication (antidepressants) in case of mild symptoms, Counselling is the best option in severe case. They will not just say let it go. In counselling (Cognitive behavioural therapy), you are treated in the best way possible and it works very effectively. Good Luck.
