The most expensive clothing item that I ever bought was a Diane Gilman Silk shirt and skirt set. Of course, it was on sale, so I paid about a third of the $100 each retail price. I did not really get to wear that set much before my daughter was born. I am almost afraid to wear it as it's just so beautiful. I guess I am still saving the outfit for a special occasion.
Just before I found out I was pregnant with my son, I paid $600 for a leather jacket. I thought it was the ultimate in chic style. By the time I found out I was having a baby, it was too late to return. I only wore the jacket once and have not fit into it again due to my changing measurements. That would be my biggest fashion regret so far, having spent so much on so little.
