Hello girls! Thanks to your comments I'm starting to change my attitude to the procedure. Now I feel more positive. I stopped thinking about relation with a baby from donor. Now I feel like I can move further. It's all thanks to you! I have some questions to you about the procedure. How you prepare to ivf with donor eggs? Is it the same as preparation to ivf with own eggs? How long it takes to prepare? I hope you'll share your experience! And also it would be great if you tell more about how you find donor, where did you have de ivf, how much you paid, etc. Let's have some chat!

    Hi

It’s great that you have erased all negative thoughts from your mind. See, there are much more you can know about new technologies available. I think you were concerned that the child may be not yours if you start your treatment with donor eggs. To solve your problem, there are other procedures also which offers multiple parents. Multiple parents’ means egg will be of the donor but the chromosomes will be yours. This means your child will get three parents. I am sure this type of procedure will really help you. Every hospital which is doing IVF provides donor eggs. Thus, you don’t have to find a donor. It’s the duty of hospital doing IVF. You just leave everything to your gynecologist and hospital.

Hello everyone! I’m happy to see your replies! I will consider all information I see here. I've already mentioned into my main thread that my feelings toward the procedure changed in a better way. Now I'm more into this. I still have some thoughts running into my mind. Despite them I feel more confident in using donor eggs. I found out about age limits and it kind of scared me. It turned out that each country has specific age limit for donor eggs recipient. This number varies from 45 to 50 years old. It suddenly crossed my mind that I have no time to waste! I will turn 45 soon. There is no time to think if this option is right for me or if I'm really ready for it. There is no time to waste on doubts and confusions. Now I'm fully on board! I talked to my hubby and he also thinks we should go for it. So I have a couple of questions for you! I really hope you will help me. What do you know about age limits for donor eggs recipients? I was looking through information on eggdonationfriends, but I've noticed that there is max age number missing in description about de of some countries. If you know what I mean. I will appreciate if you share your knowledge about this topic. And also I would like to know which criteria helped you to choose your clinic. I will be waiting for your answers! Again thank you so much for your comments.

Hey, it is good that you are going for the IVF procedure with donor egg after all those hardships! I underwent the same and now I am a mother of two beautiful twins! Trust me, the feeling is incredible! And as far as the donor is concerned, in my case Biotexcom, the clinic I went for, arranged the donor! They provided us with the in-house donor database including the best ones and helped us chose the best suitable for us matching our physical and personality traits with the donor! The information of the donor is never revealed to anyone and the child knows about just one mother, that is you! The staff performs all the legal formalities regarding that and the procedure is reasonable too! It was the best choice I made! Hope you make the best choice for yourself too and wish you all the very best. Stay positive and see good news coming your way :)

The success rates of IVF treatments with donor eggs are generally high. However, the ultimate goal may not always be achieved, either because the embryos are unable to implant, or due to a miscarriage. This may happen as a consequence of:
Uterine abnormalities: Polyps, endometriosis, an intrauterine adhesion or septum, among others. As they may prevent or hinder implantation, surgery may be required before getting started with the treatment.
Immune disorders: The immune system should be working properly for implantation and a successful pregnancy to occur, as the mother’s body should be capable of “accepting” the embryo.
Blood clotting disorders (hypercoagulability): Clotting properly is essential for the chances for embryo implantation to rise, and therefore for a term pregnancy to take place.
Genetic disorders: The sperms may carry a genetic abnormality that prevents the embryo from developing.
Poor embryo quality: Low-quality spermatozoa may lead to poor-embryo quality. Also, it is possible, though unusual, for donor-egg quality to be low, in which case choosing another donor would be advisable.

I think the biggest preparation you need for IVF is a positive attitude towards the whole experience. IVF can be quite tasking emotionally. You also need to know how the procedure goes since you will be administering some hormones to yourself. The information about this will be given to you by the clinic you visit. You can also take some meds to improve your fertility such as folic acid. Maintain a good diet and avoid stress. Use other methods to improve blood flow and fertility such as acupuncture. Personally I am preparing for IVF at BioTexCom. The procedure has two protocols, long and short. Long takes 6-8 weeks and short takes around 4 weeks. Donor eggs for DE IVF are available in the clinic. The donors chosen for eggs are screened thoroughly so no need to worry about genetic problems and diseases. GL to yo as you prepare

Hello Lucy! Thank you so much for sharing your experience. My congratulations to you! Thank you so much for your reply. I really wanted to hear someone who underwent this procedure. I'm so glad to know how you feel about your babies. In which country did you have your de ivf? Do you know what age limits it has? I'm almost 45 and I should say it's harder to find clinic. I also want to use anonymous donor. Do you plan to tell your children that you used donor eggs? I know it's too early to think about this for me but I still don't know if I tell my child about it. I read many opinions about this issue. Someone says it's better to tell, someone decides to keep it in secret. I'm confused and not sure what is the right choice in this situation.

Hello dear! Thank you so much for your reply. Thanks for all this information. It definitely will be helpful in my journey. I wish you would like with your upcoming procedure! Have you already chosen a donor? Is there an opportunity to choose donor by photo or your doctor chooses her for you? I will appreciate any information! I wish you all the best with your ivf! Hope to see some updates from you!

You are very wise to think ahead! Because the carrying mom needs a strong uterus and overall physique, to prepare I took and am taking prenatal vitamins and eating mostly whole foods. I’m also more careful with my sugar intake. I just cut back on sugar, and actually didn't miss it much as I was doing it for baby. Try to get at least 8 hours sleep, drink water, and walk for exercise, basically a pregnancy diet. The iron is especially important for the uterus and your increased blood production during pregnancy. The IVF clinic will make sure you have all you need as they will also watch your cycle to be sure to put in embryos at the proper time.

I wish you best of luck with your upcoming procedure! The shots and pills before your transfer are really not that bad, you just have to keep in mind what for you are doing it. Enjoy every bit of your journey. And know baby is all yours! No one will know it’s a donor egg if you don't tell, so just go for it.

It is really great that these dilemmas are now out of your head. The worst thing about fertility treatment are these thoughts. A relative of mine just quitted due to this. Her husband and she always used to say that the child won't be theirs. There is sicentific proof that the child is theirs but they never listened. I tried and tried to make them opt for IVF but the never did. They tried only once I think, failed the first time and then never tried again. To this very day they don't have children. It is not that big of a deal when you think about it. Only the cells wont be yours! Now cells are cells, they have no soul or anything like that. Little does it matter whether they're yours or not.

Okay at the other hand the IVF will be great dear for you! It is a little painful you know... But you don't have to worry about it at all! You will enjoy every moment of the way! You know why is that? Because you know that at the finish waits your baby!

It amazing you have to change your thinking and decided to move on for another chance to get IVF with donor eggs. My aunt underwent the IVF with donor eggs with she had got from the biotexcom which was successful. She told me that they offer many standard and economical packages according to treatment for which you opt. These packages are very beneficial for all those couples which cannot afford the expenses of reproductive treatments. If you want to get it from this clinic. You can search for it and you should prepare yourself first. The average age of women pursuing IVF with donor eggs is over 40. Older mothers may face some extra health risks, including high blood pressure and diabetes. This means it’s even more critical to take of your health through nutritious eating and exercise. It’s also crucial that you check on your blood pressure, cholesterol, and blood sugar levels checked. If you want to pursue with donor eggs then you should get the medical checkup before you get started with your donor egg pregnancy that will help you get ready for this big step. Healthy foods, regular exercise, and self-care are the best ways you can get ready for the journey ahead. Remember to consult your doctor and to develop a well-rounded plan for your pregnancy. Have a plenty of water. Hope you find this helpful. Stay blessed and Good Luck.

Hi girls! It was really nice to read about your ttc. Thanks for sharing it. For those who are still ttc and having hard times, don't give up. All of us had it. My journey wasn't easy at all. I had bad days, bad weeks and even bad months. 3 of our children were conceived naturally. But I had complications while giving birth to my 3rd baby. As we wanted to have more children we started to look for options. We decided to try using donor eggs. Our first try was a complete disaster. There were complications started from 9th week. On 11th week we had a scan which showed that the fetus faded on 7th week. That was a horrible time. I thought that was the end. But we still had 4 more tries. Second ivf cycle failed. And third one gave me my precious boys! So it wasn't simple thing to do. But all that was worth it.

I fully agree with comments above. First of all you should pay attention to your lifestyle. Take folic acid every day for at least 3 months before getting pregnant. This lowers the risk of some birth defects of the brain and spine of your child. Taking a pre-natal vitamin with folic acid is the best and easiest way to be sure you’re getting enough. You should stop smoking and drinking alcohol. Stay away from second-hand smoke as well after you become pregnant. You should eat healthy. Everything that goes into your body can nourish your uterine environment—and can boost your embryo implantation success. Avoid eating fish that are high in mercury, like swordfish and mackerel. Consider limiting caffeine intake.

Speaking about the procedure itself. As you know I'm also in search and I'm new to this whole de ivf thing. But I read lots of info lately. So I'd like to share with you what I know. Your treatment cycle and the donation cycle of your donor must be carefully synchronized, so that your uterus is prepared and ready to accept the embryo created using your donor’s eggs and your partner’s sperm. To do this, your doctor may first need to ‘switch off’ your usual monthly period and ovulation cycle. This is referred to as ‘down regulation,’ and is achieved using a combination of the contraceptive pill and hormonal medications. At the same time, your egg donor begins her own cycle of treatment, firstly undergoing ovarian stimulation, followed by egg collection and fertilization. As you are using donor eggs and not your own eggs, there is no ovarian stimulation needed for your IVF cycle. Instead the main thing is to ensure your uterus is ready to accept the embryo. This is achieved through drugs protocol unique to you, which encourages your uterus to grow its lining ready for the embryo to implant. You’ll undergo an ultrasound scan, where doctor measures the thickness of the lining to ensure it’s at the optimum level for implantation. You will be given detailed instructions of any continuing medications you need to take post embryo transfer, to ensure your body is hormonally supported throughout this crucial early stage as the embryo implants and grows.

I think this is really great you quitted all that stuff! None of us needs all that. Those things only damage our health. I think it would be nice for you to start eat healthy, take some vitamins and do some exercises. And of course don't forget about positive mood! I know sometimes this is really hard to be positive. But I read some research where scientists claim that positive mood influences TTC and pregnancy in a really good way. Also I read that when we think about good stuff we send vibrations to the universe and get what we want in return. I don't know if this is true but I really hope it works somehow. All these will definitely help you to prepare for your IVF. I wish you best of luck with your upcoming procedure!
