Being in my mid thirties, there is some worry that my unborn baby might have chromosomal disorder such as Down Syndrome. There is no history of Down Syndrome in my family so I have refused. I was reading online how there is a risk of miscarriage with an amnio. I don't know if this is true, but even if there was a slight risk I would not want to take it. My OB keeps insisting upon the amnio. I am not sure if I should switch to another OB but this one is covered by our health insurance provider. So I might have to stay. What can I do, if I don't want this test?
