I haven't dyed my hair since the beginning of my pregnancy and just can't stand my roots anymore!

My hair is red, but my roots are dark brown and it's a very unflattering look.

I am sure that my partner will be snapping pics after the baby is born. And, I would like to look good. :)

Is it safe to dye my hair while being pregnant, especially during the last trimester?

Hello Blossom, welcome to this forum and I hope you are doing good. Congratulations on your pregnancy and you should enjoy this beautiful time of your life. Pregnancy is always one of most amazing and beautiful moments of your life and you should completely enjoy it. I know that you want to take care of your hairs and looks during pregnancy and it is also a good thing. You should always do things that make you happy. It is very common question of ladies who are pregnant and who want to give some importance to looks. If you want to dye your hair, it will be completely safe during your pregnancy. It is very important to use any good quality hair colour to avoid any kind of allergies. You should also choose any open and well-ventilated location because of bad smell of most of hair colours. Then you can use desired hair colour to your hair and there will not be any problem according to my opinion. If you still want to be sure about it, I will suggest consulting any health expert who can provide better advice and opinion if you want to get such help during your pregnancy. They are able to examine your physical condition and health and then you can find a better advice in this situation. I will suggest not to take stress and anxiety due to this problem and you should completely enjoy this beautiful time of your life. When I was pregnant, I also used to dye my hair and I didn’t face any kind of problem due to it. I hope you will be able to take complete care of your health and physical condition during pregnancy and will get good news with a beautiful baby.

Hi dear. I am happy that you are seeking answers in such renowned forum and I am sure you are going to get the best possible answer from here only. I can give you some advice as I am a mother myself. It's safe to dye your hair during pregnancy. Several experts are of opinion that it is not harmful at all. Studies looking at pregnant animals exposed to hair dye show no cause for alarm. There are no reports of hair dye causing changes in human pregnancies, despite the fact that many women have colored their hair during pregnancy. Very little hair dye chemical is actually absorbed into your system. Still, hair dyes are chemical substances so some researchers continue to investigate whether any of these substances might be harmful to a developing baby. You should always take some precautions if you are dying your hair. You can follow the tips or for the best advice follow the tips of BioTexCom clinic in Ukraine. They are best in pregnancy-related matters. Wait to color your hair until your second trimester, after the critical stages of your baby's organ development are complete. Instead of using an all-over hair color, consider a process like streaking, highlighting, painting, or frosting, in which the chemicals have little or no contact with your scalp. (Any hair-coloring agents absorbed into your system would come through your skin, not through the hair shaft.) If you choose to color your own hair, wear gloves and work in a well-ventilated space to minimize your exposure to the chemicals used in the coloring process. Don't leave the dye on any longer than necessary, and make sure your scalp is thoroughly rinsed at the end of the process. I hope my answer will help someone. Best of luck to all the mothers on their upcoming motherhood.

So far, based on my experience, it is not recommended for pregnant women to color their hair. Kindly read the reminders present in the container of hair color. It is indicated there.

Hey Blossom! Congratulations for being pregnant! You're going to be a beautiful and a wonderful mother! Best of luck! I can totally understand the problem you're currently facing. Especially when you're going to be the center of attention! Good news for you though! Research says that it is completely fine to use dye, as the chemicals aren't that strong. Therefore they don't reach the fetus as skin usually absorbs most of the chemical. However, since its your last trimester I would suggest that do ask your doctor as well. As doctors are more knowledgeable in this field and will give you a true advice. Best of luck! I hope everything goes smooth! Also, I am sure even without dying your hair you'll look beautiful holding your baby in your hands.

Hello there deary. How are you doing today? I hope that things are great at your end. I also wish that this finds you well. I am really happy to hear that you care this much about your baby. Coming here first and asking about this... It is really remarkable what you are doing. I wish I was as careful as you love. We can all learn a lesson from this. Okay now let's cut to the chase. I don't think that there is any problem with you dying your hair. It is true that some of the products used for hair dying have plenty of toxins. Try finding a brand that has as less of those as possible. If you are uncertain still, ask you doctor! WIsh you luck on the future. God bless you!

Sometimes it is safe to use the hair dyes during the pregnancy because all the dyes in both semi-permanent and permanent dyes are not highly toxic. Moreover it, only small amounts of hair dye may be absorbed by the skin that may leave the bad effects also. Some of the dyes have the very strong smell which can irritate us. But it is perfectly safe to dye your hair when you're pregnant if it is made of home stuff. I am not sure what they use in salons because I don't go there usually. During my pregnancy, I color my hair with dyes which my mother in law specially made with the home stuff. When it comes time to start coloring, you should take some extra safety precautions. If you’re in a salon, ask to be seated in a well-ventilated area. If you’re at home, open up the windows so you’re breathing in fresh air, not toxic fumes.
If you choose to color your own hair, wear gloves and work in a well-ventilated space to minimize your exposure to the chemicals used in the coloring process. So it is also safe to dye the hair during the last trimester.Don't leave the dye longer than necessary. During the pregnancy, that hormonal changes can make your hair react differently, so you might not get what you expect. Take care and Best wishes to you.
