I always loved reading stories to my daughter when she was small. Now she doesn't like it when I try to read stories to her. I think she feels like I'm treating her like a baby, rather than just trying to spend time with her. I wish we had storytime back again as it was such a fun part of her young childhood.
I used to tell stories to my daughter since the beginning of her life. I really think it helps the child’s imagination to develop, concentrate, listen, etc. I also love it myself! I used to make the stories myself more, I would say, when she was small. Any short funny stories even with the elements of singing. It makes both of us so comfy and warm… I feel like literature makes your heart bigger and your head smarter. It is kinda old-fashioned with all those cartoons around, but I am proud to be a literature person. If you start reading/telling stories to your infant, it will become a common thing for her/him when will grow up. I knw so many moms who are struggling with making their child read. Children do not have that passion to read as we all used to have in the past. Simply because we have no other things to do. There are so many toys around now that you could lose your mind. But literature makes our world better and our children wiser. One needs to get the experience not to make the mistakes in the future OR he can learn from the characters at least something, you know.. My realization of literature losing its value makes me feel so sad about current generation. But i truly believe it will keep changing the world and our children for the better

It is great that you are a caring parent. Going as far as to winder about the smallest of things... Such us whether one should read to them at a young age. My opinion on this is that yes you should... I don't have children of my own SO I can't tell you how I act... However I think that reading since a young age is good. It teaches them to love books. Something that will come in handy to them in the future. It will help them grow intellectually... So yeah this is my take. I am no expert though... I could be wrong! God bless you dear.
